When the Sky Holds Everything
I want to take a moment to thank the new subscribers to Because Life is Messy… you’re so welcome here. And a shout-out to everyone who has been reading and supporting my work for some time. Knowing you are reading, commenting, liking with a 💙, or restacking with ♼ helps this publication reach more people, and that means more than I can say.

This week, as I looked toward the horizon, a rainbow began to form in the sky, deepening its colors. Then another appeared slowly beside it. For twenty minutes or more, the rainbows brightened the sky just as the sky darkened, threatening a storm.
It’s always both—the holding of grace and possibility, and the threat that becomes more real every day.
As my friend Susan Harley shared in her post last week, “It’s been a strange week.” So, I don’t have too many words for you today, but I offer you this from Ms. Maya Angelou:
“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”
If this little moment I shared spoke to you, I’d love to hear about the rainbows you’ve noticed—literal or metaphorical. Share your moments, and let’s celebrate the bright spots that appear even amid the clouds.

Who are you being a rainbow for?
I love that quote from Maya going with your stunning pictures. Thank you for the mention ,Dear friend 💗
